21 Days of Productivity Challenge: Day 7

Today’s challenge is to plan your day the night before. Complete this challenge every day for the rest of the challenge. This way you start the next day off running instead of trying to figure out what it is you will do with your day.

I love planning my day the night before, it opens up the possibilities for that day and gives me a sense of accomplishment long before the task is complete. And I always sleep better when the next day is all planned out and ready for me. This to me is one of the essentials of productivity.

21 Day Productivity Challenge: Day 6

Today’s challenge might be a difficult one for some, but it is definitely key to being more productive. The challenge: wake up early for the next 7 days. Now early can be subjective, as one person’s definition of early is different from another’s.

Let me tell you my waking up early story. For the longest time, for years I would say, I could not for the life of me get up early and I barely go up in enough time to make it to work on time. It was a real struggle. Then one night, I found myself with a severe case of insomnia, I could not sleep for the life of me. This insomnia lasted for a few days, sleep was a very elusive thing during that time. Well, to combat the insomnia, I started doing things, working on things, productive types of things to make the time pass faster. I accomplished so much during those sleepless nights and what was even better was that I liked how productive I had become. When sleep returned to me, I most certainly wanted to keep that productivity momentum going. Since I had become accustomed to the early morning hours and the quiet that comes with it, I decided to start setting my alarm for 4am. It was a very difficult thing at first, but my body soon got use to the early mornings, so much so that my body now craves less sleep so that I am able to accomplish more than I could imagine in one day. Now I am not saying that in the next 7 days you will be able to wake up naturally, that will take a little bit of time, but this way you will be able to see the results you are able to get by getting up just a little bit early.

It is important to remember that when you get up early to start the day, for the first 20 to 40 minutes, you must move, be and keep active. Without this movement, you will fail to stay engaged with the work that you have to do.

21 Days of Productivity Challenge: Day 5

Today’s challenge is to read for a minimum of 10 minutes a day for the rest of the challenge. I try my hardest every day to read for 10 minutes. If I am able to read longer I definitely read longer. The book can be in the physical or digital format. When I listen to Audible I tend to listen for hours, but I still make sure that I get a daily dose from one of my tens of physical books.

My current reads are The Power of Broke by Daymond John on Audible and Money Master the Game by Tony Robbins. Both are excellent books, so far, that I highly recommend.

Today’s challenge is to write down three things you are grateful for today. And continue to write down three things each day of the rest of the challenge.

I write down three things that I am grateful for each morning and it centers and grounds me for the day. It is such a powerful tool to utilize because it puts me into a positive frame of mind.

So try this amazing technique that some of the most successful people utilize to begin their day.

21 Day Productivity Challenge: Day 3

Today’s challenge is to create and start a to do/task journal. This is very important in getting things done. There is no need to go out and buy a fancy journal, a simple, plain notebook will do. I previously used the bullet journal system, but have since perfected it and created my own system that works best for me. If you have goals and things that need to get done, writing them down helps to manifest their completion. Use the journal over the course of the challenge and you will see how much more productive you become.

21 Day Productivity Challenge: Day 2

Now that you’ve defined your purpose; your why. It’s time to solidify that purpose and write it down. Write down your purpose but then go one step further, and here is the challenge, create three goals that are aligned with your purpose. These goals will be the motivation that will spring you forward into action. Now don’t just write down anything, these goals must be sustainable. I utilize a very simply formula when I create my goals called SMART, which stands for Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Reasonable, and Time bound. This formula has helped me tremendously transform my goals into action and it can do the same for you.

21 Day Productivity Challenge

21 day challenge

Today begins my 21 days to productivity challenge. I wanted to do this challenge to not only increase my productivity but to also see where I was getting hung up in regards to productivity. So for the next 21 days I will post a challenge to complete that will help in the attainment of a higher level of productivity. I hope you will join me in this challenge. Even if you are already highly productive, it does not hurt to revisit and get a gentle reminder of all the task driven actions you need to take to get and stay productive.

Ok, here we go.

Today’s challenge: Define your purpose; your passion; your ultimate why.

This might seem like a simply task, but it can be a heavy task to complete. It will be important to dig deep on this one because your purpose, your passion, your why; that is the reason we wake up in the morning and should be the reason behind everything that we do. So pull out a pen or pencil or Evernote or Notes on your phone and figure out what defines the life you desire to live.
